Samsung and LG have already received permission to produce screens for the iPhone 16

Samsung and LG are preparing to produce displays for the iPhone 16

Apple has permitted Samsung Display and LG Display to mass produce  OLED screens for the new Apple iPhone 16 lineup.

According to The Elec's source, Samsung Display will supply OLED displays to all four iPhone 16 models, but LG Display will only supply the Pro versions.

In addition, the Chinese company BOE may join the process. It will produce OLED screens for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. However, Apple has not given the BOE the go-ahead yet.

Will there be any difference between the OLED displays of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro? According to preliminary data, the differences will be insignificant. For example, the iPhone 16 will have thinner frames thanks to Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology.
