Here's why the iPhone 16 could be more expensive than the iPhone 15

Currently, the cheapest iPhone 15 model costs an absurd $800, and if you want the Pro or Pro Max version, you'll have to pay even more.

Apple is considering a price increase for the upcoming iPhone 16 due to production costs.

Production costs

The report states that the estimated manufacturing cost of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is $558, which is 12% more than last year's 14 Pro Max.

It is also interesting to note that the iPhone 15 Pro Max received a new telephoto lens, which is 380% more expensive than the camera of its predecessor. The cost of new-generation chips rose by 27%. The presence of a titanium frame also contributed to the increase in production costs.

Will the cost of the iPhone 15 Pro be even higher?

Apple's rising production costs will probably lead to price volatility. By the way, there are already rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro model may become $200 more expensive.

However, don’t forget that these are just rumors and speculation. We will know what is true after Apple's official statement.
